Hi - apologies if this is not really the correct forum for this, but have
been unable to find any out about this from F5 documention. Its about MAC
address ... not very exciting but I have 2 LTMs in an ACTIVE / STANDBY
configuration and the MAC addresses of the internal vlans are shown as:

ltm1:
ifconfig internal
internal Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:01:D7:3F:07:43
192.168.101.50

ltm2:
ifconfig internal
internal Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:01:D7:3E:EA:03
192.168.101.51

Floating IP is 192.168.101.52

If I ping these IPs from a Linux box behind the LTM and then view the arp
table I get:

arp -n
Address HWtype HWaddress Flags Mask
Iface
192.168.101.50 ether 02:01:D7:3F:07:42 C
eth0
192.168.101.51 ether 02:01:D7:3E:EA:02 C
eth0
192.168.101.52 ether 02:01:D7:3F:07:42 C
eth0

So why are there subtle differences between them? Like the begining is 02
and the end 42 & 02?

Thanks - J.
