Wei,
By default the alteon switch does an arp for all ip-addresses it sees. The
result is that all the mac-addresses are stored in the arp-table. If you
have a connection to a network with a lot of clients this will result in an
overflow of the arp-table. The way to reduce this is to define local
networks.
When you define local networks (/cfg/ip/local) you configure the networks
the Alteon switch has a direct connection to. So all the defined interface
have to be included in the local network configuration. I you have defined
static routes than be sure these are included in the local network as well.
Hope this resolves your problem.
Greetings,
Marcel Derksen
