Subject: [load balancing] Alteon Fiber/Copper failover
Does anyone know if on Alteon 180e if you can plug both copper and fiber (same
port) and have one fail over to the other? For example, we have two alteons
connected to eachother currently via fiber. Could we run a copper link on the
same port in the instance fiber is interupted? (either unplugged or broken
cable, etc). If that is possible, is it then also possible to do the same
with a server? (We have servers with fiber and copper nic's in them)
Jay
