Hi Arvinder,

We have 10 alteons working with WebOS 9 and 10 and all of them with trap
configured.

I know this is a basic question, but the trap1 address 10.10.50.21 is the
address of the machine which will receive the trap(listening port 162)? I´m
don´t have this kind of problem and, in some machines, I have two diffrents
trap receivers(trap1 and trap2).

  Dear lb_cats,

i am facing a starnge thing....

i have two alteon 184,on which i have configured a trap host with the
following configuration .
  /c/snmp

  name "vsdnlb1"

  auth ena

  trap1 10.10.50.21

  web os is 9.0.41.4

I have active-standy configuration for two alteons...

Now issue is that primary alteon is not generating any traps (checked with
/stat/snmp)...but the standy alteon is sending the traps to the trap_host.

though they have same config wrt to snmp.

  thanks...

  arvinder
