Wassup!
There are a couple of different scenarios that you could mean...
1. The differences between a PC-based and a switch-based load balancer,
i.e. F5 Labs versus Alteon
2. The difference between a Clustering software, such as Windows
Clustering (or to a limited extent Resonate, althought I'll probably get
corrected on that) and Network-based load balancers, such as Alteon, F5,
Foundry, etc.
3. A load balancing app written from scratch on a web server, versus
using a load balancer.
Which one are you referring to, or are you referring to something else?
