    I presume 'viphlth' is also enabled under '/cfg/slb/group <X>/' (its enabled
    by default).

    sounds like time to raise a case with Nortel technical support.

    Yes, I enabled nonat on the service and submac on the real servers, but
    even the health checks are directed to the real servers' addresses
    instead of the VIP.

       Did you remember to enable nonat on the service? So
    it would not do the VIP to RIP NAT?
